Transition programs

Temora Public School offers a range of transition programs with the aim of supporting and preparing students for the next stage of school life.

Kindergarten

The TPS Kindergarten Transition program involves visits by staff and students from Temora Public School to early learning centres such as Temora Preschool & OOSH, A Dragon’s Tale and Bright Beginnings. Visits equip future students with the confidence and support to ease the big step into primary school.

High School Transition

The THS Student Transition and Resilience Program provides an opportunity for those in Year 6 to familiarise themselves with the day-to-day workings of high school and establish initial relationships with students and staff at Temora High School. The program operates in various THS environments and is delivered by Teaching and Wellbeing staff. Year 6 students are mentored by Year 9 and 10 students and through participation in the program, students feel reduced stress and anxiety about beginning Year 7.
